Elvine Mänd is an unknown name for the vast majority. She worked as a seamstress in Estonia during World War II and fled to Sweden when Russia attacked. In 1975, Elvin's daughter gave birth to a son named Daniel. He grew up in the outskirts of Gothenburg and early became interested in street culture, which led him to opening a shop on the same theme. Daniel had difficulty finding the products he was looking for, so he simply decided to start the brand we today know as Elvine. A combination of his grandmother's craftsmanship and his own interest in streetwear - Sophisticated clothes for unsophisticated people.
