When Leonardo Servadio founded his clothing brand in the Italian city of Perugia in 1959, he simply put together the initials L.S. to Ellesse. The brand grew exponentially in popularity during the 70s when they produced skiwear with reinforced knees and wide legs to fit around ski boots. The brand has for decades dressed both Formula 1 drivers and slalom medalists as well as the Italian national team and tennis stars.Today Ellesse continues to develop the strategy they started long before many others – to collaborate with fashion designers to create trendy sportswear.
