Billabong was founded when surfer dude Gordon Merchant begun tailoring shorts in his apartment on the Australian Gold Coast. The shorts were up to par with the gnarly aussie surfing and 35 years later Billabong is still striving to create even better clothing without ever loosing their roots in the ocean.
