In 1992 Millencolin took form in the Swedish town of Orebro, consisting of Erik Ohlson, Mathias Farm and Nicola Sarcevic. The musical aim was to distil the best of the American hardcore that the members had been marinated in whilst growing up as skateboarders. The result was a most potent and accessible blend of punk, which sold in hundreds of thousands and filled up big venues all over the world. The original music of Millencolin was nicknamed Skate punk and you can say what you want about this but there are not many bands that have created a genre on their own. www.millencolin.com
