The quality-oozing history of Clarks reaches all the way back to the sheep farm of Cyrus and James Clark in the beginning of the 19th century. The sheep farming turned into shoe making and in by the year 1900 Clarks was established as one of England's largest shoe manufacturers. In 1950 Nathan Clark designed a shoe inspired by English military boots. The result was named Desert Boot, a classic model that to this day is one of the worlds best selling shoes. In 1960 Lance Clark developed Clark's first leisure model - the Wallabee - and the success of it was massive.
